What is MAPP?

Multi-Annual Procurement Planning (MAPP) is a structured approach to capturing and forecasting procurement requirements across the education sector. It provides a three-year view of planned Goods, Services, and Works, supporting coordinated planning and informed decision-making at both organisational and national level.

MAPP Process

Education institutions submit their MAPPs annually to EPS. The Business Intelligence, Planning and Reporting team consolidates, aggregates, and analyses this data to build a clear, evidence‑based picture of sector needs. EPS categorises all requirements across the 16 Central SpendCategories, along with any education‑specific needs. This supports the production of three‑year forecast reports and essential tools forsector‑wide planning and alignment with national procurement strategies.
